BFD maintains an Eligibility List of qualified applicants for future reference. Qualified applicants may be selected
from the Eligibility List for consideration when filling full time job vacancies, or participation in our part time
Firefighter Reserve program.
Eligible applicants will be invited to test as per our employee selection process.

REQUIREMENTS:
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
All employees of the Buckskin Fire Department must establish and maintain full time
residency within 40 miles of the Buckskin Fire District boundary limits from m.p.162 to m.
p. 148 Hwy 95 north of Parker, AZ.

Do you have what it takes to become a BFD Firefighter?

REQUIREMENTS:
- 18 Years of age or older
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.equivalent
- Arizona Certified FF I & FF II or equivalent
- Arizona Certified EMT or higher
- Possess a valid AZ driver’s license
- Certified Open Water Diver – or – ability to obtain certification within reasonable time period to
be determined by the Fire Chief.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
All employees of the Buckskin Fire Department must establish and maintain full time

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES (POST-OFFER) MUST:
- Meet employment eligibility requirements as established by the Immigration Reform and Control Act.
- Successfully pass a post-offer medical exam.
- Pass a fingerprint and background investigation.
