Buckskin Fire Department members train extensively on a daily basis. These
areas consist of Structural Firefighting, Water Rescue/Dive Rescue, Emergency
Medical Services, Wild land Firefighting, Vehicle Extrication, and Technical
Rescue.
Wild land training begins with knowledge of
equipment and knowing how to pump each Wild land
Rig.
Fireboat training: Our fire boat is
equipped with a 500 gallon per minute
fire pump,  allowing us to extinguish
boat fires and provide a water supply
for structural and Wild land fires.
B.F.D. Engines are equipped with Hydraulic
Rescue tools used at Motor Vehicle Accidents.
Fire Apparatus Engineer training
consist of all phases of pumping to
include drafting from a portable tank,
supplied by Water Tenders.
Boat #1 is used for Dive Emergencies and
rescuing individuals out of the water.

Assistant Chief Harran works diligently as
BFD Training Officer to employ safe
firefighting and emergency response
techniques, and to maintain compliant
with state and federal regulations.
TRAINING
